GENERAL DESCRIPTION

TANK BODY

The wall structure consists of Zinc aluminium steel, which is fabricated with corrugated profiled wall panels. Wall panels are pre-curved to create the exact diameter for each tank size. Hoop strength is achieved by increasing the panel thickness, which is determined by the height to diameter ratio. The wall panels are vertically joined using hot dipped galvanised high tensile bolts and can be covered with an external bolt cover strip. The bolts are protected for unwanted tampering.

Our tank designs can be modified to suit high winds including cyclonic wind conditions, or coastal areas. Should either of these apply to your tank location you must notify us without delay.

DOME ROOF

We offers dome roofs of Standard design. This is designed for market needs and climatic conditions and shall consist of roof sheeting material spanning hot dipped galvanised truss section.

The length of the roof sheets used shall be such that a minimum number of end laps for the entire roof are used. Where required the end laps shall not be less than 300mm and the centre of the overlap shall be at a truss centreline. Side laps shall not be less than one corrugation.

No roof supporting steelwork shall intrude into the water storage below the maximum overflow level.

LINER

Our unique reinforced liners consist of a heavy-duty homogeneous impervious membrane with an internal woven mat or scrim. The scrim strengthens the liner so that it does not stretch under pressure ultimately weakening the material.

The Reinforced liners have been tested by Third party international accredited laboratories.

NOZZLES

All nozzles extend clear of the tank to enable unhindered connection to other pipe work, the fittings and terminate in a flange.

ACCESS HATCH & LADDERS

Depending on the model and the height of the selected tank, access hatches and rung ladders can be designed to facilitate ease of entry and exit of personnel and equipment.

OVERFLOW

We recommend these tanks to be fitted with an overflow pipe to ensure there is proper drainage from the tank so that the ring beam is not undermined.

SITE PREPARATION

We recommend installation onto a concrete ring beam or Slab. G. A. drawings are provided after confirmation of order. Out of level or height variation in the ring beam can have an adverse affect on both the installation and ultimate performance of your water tank; hence it is critical that these specifications are adhered to.

BASIC SITE REQUIREMENTS

It is necessary to construct a level area larger than the diameter of the ring beam (3 - 4mtr) to enable the movement of equipment around the tank. The sand inside the ring beam should be to a depth of 250mm to 300mm and compacted. Preparation of the site should be completed prior to the arrival of our installers.

EARTH WORKS

Civil earth works to clear the site for the above size tank are to be provided by the client.

CONCRETE RING BEAM

A concrete ring beam is required for muddy floor .To be provided by client.

COMMISSIONING

Hydrostatic testing or commissioning (Filled with liquid and leak tested) is an important part of the installation of our tanks.
